Nozomi Horibe is an illustrator, cartoonist, web writer, and J-E translator based in Berlin, Germany. She was born in 1986 in Tokyo and spent her childhood in Russia, USA, Saudi Arabia, and France. After finishing her BA in Fine Art History and French Literature at the University of Toronto, she returned to Tokyo to work in J-E translation.
A strange turn of fate brought her to Berlin in 2010. Unable to give up her childhood dream to become a cartoonist, she enrolled in the Visual Communication program at the weissensee academy of art berlin in 2012.
Her first graphic novel The Trip was completed in April 2019.
